Five awesome tips to improve indoor air quality

Here is a reality check for you!

Air pollution at your home is as dangerous or even more than pollution outside. Going with the current situation, we spend a majority of our time indoors. So, is there any reason here to panic? Absolutely not.

With some basic knowledge and some precautions, you can immediately improve your indoor air quality.

1.Change the AC Filters Regularly

Air conditioners are used to give you that perfect temperature you want for your home. But in the process of circulating through the air, they are filtering out some air pollutants which eventually fill up the filters and they stop functioning the way they have to. This can cause trouble to your air quality indoor. The only way to avoid all this is to change your AC filters regularly.

2.Use Cooking Vents

The kitchen is a place from where a lot of indoor pollutants come in. Gas stoves release a lot of harmful contaminants like nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide, etc. A lot of electric burners also produce the same pollutants at lower levels. So while cooking either turn on the cooking vents or open the window so that the air is filtered out properly.

3.Buy Indoor Plants

Plants are nothing but natural air filters. While you take care of your home décor, buy some indoor plants that will help you to improve the indoor air quality.

4.Control Indoor Humidity

Humidity and moist conditions indoor can lead to a lot of respiratory problems like asthma, allergies, etc, especially in summers. Some well-placed dehumidifiers can help you curb the growth of molds and reduce the amount of moisture in the air.

5.Keep Carpets and Rugs Clean

Carpets and rugs act as their own filters by trapping dust and other particles into their fibers. They also help in increasing the comfort of your home. Make it a point to clean the carpets and rugs once a week to improve the air quality in your home.
