General Manager - MEP (Design and co-ordination)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced MEP professional to oversee and manage Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems across large-scale construction projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a proven track record of successful MEP execution in commercial, residential, or infrastructure developments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee design review, coordination, installation, and commissioning of all MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, fire-fighting, plumbing, ELV, etc.)
- Ensure that MEP works are executed as per the latest drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and within the project timeline.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and MEP consultants, ensuring integration with civil and architectural disciplines.
- Conduct regular site inspections and monitor progress and quality of MEP work.
- Resolve technical issues and lead troubleshooting activities across MEP systems.
- Prepare and monitor MEP schedules and budgets; ensure alignment with overall project plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to statutory compliance and local authority approvals (like DEWA, SEWA, Municipality, etc.)
- Review and approve method statements, shop drawings, material submittals, and test reports.
- Lead testing, commissioning, and final handover of MEP systems.
- Mentor junior MEP engineers and promote knowledge sharing.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 10 to 15 + years of experience in MEP execution, design coordination, and project management.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, MEP standards, and safety regulations.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
- Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and stakeholders effectively.
