Security Head – Recruitment & Training
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Security Head to lead and manage the end-to-end security operations of our premises, with a strong focus on recruitment, training, and development of the security team. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe and secure environment by implementing robust security protocols, monitoring systems, and building a well-trained, alert security workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Security Operations:
- Lead and oversee all physical security measures including guarding, patrolling, access control, and CCTV monitoring.
- Implement and periodically update security SOPs, emergency response procedures, and visitor protocols.
- Manage and maintain surveillance, access control, and alarm systems with regular checks and vendor coordination.
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and suggest preventive measures.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement, fire departments, and external agencies when required.
Recruitment:
- Plan and execute manpower requirements for security personnel across all sites.
- Coordinate with HR and security agencies to recruit qualified security staff.
- Conduct interviews, screening, and background verification processes for in-house or outsourced security personnel.
Training & Development:
- Design and deliver training programs for new recruits and existing team members.
- Conduct regular drills and refresher training on topics like emergency response, fire safety, access control, handling suspicious items, crowd control, and soft skills.
- Maintain training records and evaluate staff performance for continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- 5 to 8+ years of experience in security operations with team management, preferably in malls, commercial complexes, industrial sites, or hospitality.
- Proven experience in recruitment and training of security staff.
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
- Proficiency in using and maintaining CCTV and access control systems.
- Familiarity with fire safety regulations, emergency protocols, and legal compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Background in Defense, Paramilitary, or Police service is an added advantage.
- Certifications in Industrial Security / Fire & Safety desirable.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and security monitoring tools.
